We have a report which has column header text rotated so it displays vertically. When viewed in the ReportViewer in the ReportingServices web interface, it looks great.
However, when I run the same report in a ReportViewer (10.0) in my asp.net 4.0 web app, the header text is not rotated, so the columns get widened out.
Inspecting one versus the other, I find that the Reporting Services Viewer has different html rendered. A td, then a div, then within that another table, tr, td sequence, and then the text. I find styles on the innermost td such as:
- writing-mode: tb-rl;
- layout-flow: vertical-ideographic;
- direction: ltr;
which seem as if they're what makes the header text display vertically.
However, within my webapp, the report only renders td, div, then text--no inner table, so of course, none of these stylings.
Is there some setting I'm missing to make the webapp reportviewer act like the one in Reporting Services?
